Trump Says US, Iran Nearing Agreement to End War
(MENAFN) Donald Trump said Saturday that the United States and Iran are moving closer to a possible agreement aimed at ending the ongoing conflict, according to comments reported by a media outlet.
In a phone interview, Trump said progress was improving day by day, though he declined to share details of the negotiations.
“I can't tell you before I tell them, right?” he said, adding that discussions were still ongoing and evolving.
He emphasized that any final agreement would need to ensure that Iran does not obtain a nuclear weapon and said that issues related to Iran’s enriched uranium would have to be addressed in a “satisfactory” manner.
Trump also stated that he would only accept a deal that fully meets US objectives, suggesting that negotiations remain conditional and unresolved.
According to the media outlet, Trump is still reviewing multiple proposals and has not made a final decision. He is also consulting with advisers and holding discussions with foreign leaders, including officials from Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states, as part of broader regional coordination efforts.
